I’ve been writing and recording songs for a few decades. MORNING STAR is my 15th (or so) release. These 6 songs were inspired by time spent in the desert in Yucca Valley, CA. The vast desert landscape, the gentle pallet, and the changes during the rising and setting of the sun all served as my muse.
With songwriting, I focus on melody, harmony, poetry, and whittling it all down to its most basic foundation. Esoteric topics repeat in my songs; life, love, connecting, longing, departing.
My adulthood has been spent in Boston, New York City, Italy, and Austin TX. Very different environments, with my anchor and common thread being music, musician friends, creating and performing.
Music has brought me all around the World, opening doors to new people and new cultural experiences.
